Our Medical Group has been treating patients for over 15 years, near the Sharp Memorial campus. In 2007, the practice moved next door into a new medical complex to better serve the changing medical needs of you and your family. Our office utilizes Electronic Health Records (EHR) to improve managment of our care and your medical records. Metro Family Physicians provides comprehensive health care for the entire family, we practice medicine with care and compassion while utilizing the latest technology to provide exceptional care.
About Family Physicians
Your Family Doctor has received special training in treating medical problems and the practice of preventative care for babies, children, teenagers, adults and seniors. She is concerned with the health matters of individuals as well as the health of the entire family. Your doctor has received special training in the areas of internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry and geriatrics, outpatient surgical procedures and disease prevention.
Doctors
Ada Marin, MD, MPH
Dr. Ada Marin earned her M.D. degree at New York Medical College in 1983, and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the UCSD Medical Center in San Diego in 1986. In 2001, she earned a Master in Public Health in Health Services Administration from San Diego State University. In 2007 Dr. Marin was named The California Academy of Family Physicians’ California Family Physician of the Year.
In 2004, 2007, and 2008, Dr. Marin was selected by her peers as one of San Diego’s “Top Doctors.” She has been Past President of The San Diego Academy of Family Physicians and is a current Board member. She also serves on the Board and several committees of Sharp Community Medical Group. In addition to managing Metro Family Physicians Medical Group, Dr. Marin teaches UCSD Medical Students and USD Nurse Practitioner Students in her office. Since 1986 Dr. Marin has been has been on the faculty of the UCSD School of Medicine’s Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, where she currently has a faculty rank of Clinical Professor.
Dr. Marin transitioned Metro Family to electronic health records (EHR) in 2006, increasing efficiencies in documentation and quality of patient care. Her medical interests include quality of care, Diabetes, Women’s Health, health maintenance/wellness, and Pediatrics/Adolescent Medicine. She is also certified in Medical Aesthetics including treatments with Syneron’s Elos Laser, as well as Botox and dermal fillers. She is fluent in Spanish, and enjoys photography, travel, and writing in her free time.
Christine Eros, MD, MPH
Dr. Christine Eros received her M.D. degree from the UCSD School of Medicine in 1996. In the same year she earned a Master in Public Health of Maternity and Child Health from San Diego State University. Dr. Eros completed her Family Medicine residency at the Sharp Health Care Family Medicine Residency Program in 1999. She was elected by her faculty and peers as Chief Resident of her class.
Dr. Eros joined Metro Family Physicians in 1999 and became co-owner of Metro Family in 2003. She enjoys practicing family-centered medicine with an emphasis on pediatric and women’s health. She also has a passion for wellness and weight management. She is certified in Medical Aesthetics and provides treatments such as laser rejuvenation, skin tightening and laser hair removal, as well as Botox injections and dermal fillers.
Dr. Eros devotes volunteer time at her children’s schools where she is often found speaking to classes on various health topics. She teaches UCSD Medical Students, and is currently a Clinical Instructor at the UCSD School of Medicine’s Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys exercising, travel, and scrapbooking in her free time.
